Did you ever see a person lost in the burdens and complexities of life bursting out into laughter? We hear and read about suicides only in such cases.
The other day I read a news report that Bhutan has a big happiness quotient; and it is the only country in the world that comes out with a regular happiness index every year.In India, we have the opposite: rate of suicides, crime and deaths etc.
One can’t say happiness is all an individual’s business. In this complex, interrelated and interdependent world, external factors play a decisive role in one’s being cheerful or not. But that does not mean there is no controlling system with- in.
There is, and an individual who understands the dynamics of societal functions also understands the ways to cope up with the thorny issues. He or she learns to remain afloat even during the worst of disasters.
One must keep in mind the fact that the way out of a problematic situation is to tackle it head-on, and not run away from it.
No wonder, those who laugh their way to success are those who convert difficult situations into favourable ones. Or else how come fortune favours the brave only.
But I must give a word of caution. One should not be ecstatic about happiness and pleasure.
They are all momentary. As Rabindranath Tagore had said: “Pleasure is like a dew drop; while it laughs, it dies.” So,the point to remember is to work hard and do a good job.Go to sleep and wake up to a brighter tomorrow. You will get plenty of chances to laugh!

Success Mantra

The big secret in life is that there is no big secret.
Whatever your goal, you can get there if you're willing to work —Oprah Winfrey
All successful people attribute their success to hard work.
Take, for example, former Indian President Abdul Kalam or Dr Shah Faisal, the topper of this year's civil services exam.
You will find such innumerable success stories everyday.
It was hard work that paid them.To them, work was worship.
Dr.Shah, who lost his father many years ago,had to face a lot of problems, to achieve this feat.
President Kalam used to distribute newspapers to earn some income to meet his ends.
Most people do what’s the easiest. The superficial opportunities of life are attacked by hordes of people, seeking what's easy.
The much tougher challenges generally see a lot less competition and a lot more opportunity.
Digging a gold mine costs mantra tens of millions of dollars, but the reward it gives is in multiples. The challenge is hard, but it pays off.
When you discipline your- self to do what is hard, you gain access to a realm of results that are denied to others. The willingness to do what is difficult is like having a key to a special private treasure room.
The nice thing about hard work is that it’s universal. It doesn’t matter what industry you’re in hard work can give positive long-term results.
According to Winston Churchill, hardwork is the passport to success. There is no substitute for this.
American poet Longfellow points out that all greatmen were “toiling upwards in the night”while their companions slept! The proverb “Do your duty well where you are placed,” says it all. That’s one way of serving God too. Modern man has no time to stand and stare because he knows that if he wants to survive in the world, he has to toil hard. Charles Darwin’s principle of survival is a warning: A day will come when no lazy or idle man can survive.

Love Chemistry

    <m:smallfrac m:val="off"> <m:dispdef> <m:lmargin m:val="0"> <m:rmargin m:val="0"> <m:defjc m:val="centerGroup"> <m:wrapindent m:val="1440"> <m:intlim m:val="subSup"> <m:narylim m:val="undOvr"> </m:narylim></m:intlim> </m:wrapindent> </m:defjc></m:rmargin></m:lmargin></m:dispdef></m:smallfrac>

DEFINING love can be quite difficult task. We can feel it, but can’t express it well enough.

Chambers dictionary describes it as “an affection of the mind caused by that which delights”.

We often hear people say, “I love you” to others. Do they really mean it? I wonder whether these words come from their hearts or it is just a formality. Or sit away to please or flatter someone? Some people don’t mind saying it a hundred times. Does it mean that they are firm and sincere in their statement? The other day, there was the news of a priest in Goa who got drowned in the sea while saving the lives of three persons.

They were all on a picnic at the beach, where the three youths got entangled in a turbulent wave in the sea and washed away by the violent wave.

Others realized the seriousness that their companions’ lives were in danger, and shouted for help. But nobody came forward to help, except the priest.

Sensing the need to act instantly and yet fully aware of the danger before him, without a second thought, he jumped into the sea and saved their lives one after another.

He was fulfilling his duty as their guardian and savior .In the process, he lost his life. This sacrifice was true love and the youths, whom he saved, experienced it.

It was the priest who gave them a second life. Will a day pass without their remembering the priest and his deed? He did what the Bible wants us to do, “Love your neighbor as you love yourself.” The priest’s heroic deed will be appreciated, forever. What if he is dead, he will live in our hearts. That is the real power of love.

You have found your Guru.

DON’T try to find a guru because you would choose the kind that you are comfortable with, the kind that you like.
Look at how you like something and how you dislike something.Anything that supports your ego, you like it; anything that disturbs your ego, you don’t like it.
If you makefriends, what kind of friends do you make? You make friends only with somebody who reinforces your ego. If somebody punctures your ego, he becomes your enemy.
So,if a guru reinforces your ego, he will be no good guru for you.A guru is a special kind of friend who punctures your ego on a daily basis, who will leave you with a flat tire everyday.
Don’t choose your guru, just intensify your longing. You just make your longing very deep.
So deep that every cell in your body should scream, ‘I want to know’.He’ll find you. He’s constantly scanning the world and seeing where is that longing.
When you say you have seen many gurus, you might have seen people but you have not seen any guru.
Now you are reading what I am saying. This doesn’t mean I am your guru.If you are only reading my words and you like it, and I seem to be making little more sense than you would make yourself, that’s not a guru.
You are completely over- whelmed by his presence, which is totally illogical and everything in you says, “let’s run away from him,”but you will never be able to run.
That means you have found your guru. Your logic says, “Let’s get away from here, I don’t like it.” But you can’t leave. If you sit with him, you feel very threatened and you want to run away, but everything in you wants to be there This does not however involve becoming loud or arrogant. On the contrary, people with genuine self confidence are usually calm and self assured and do not need to 'big note' themselves.

Here are my top nine tips for building your self confidence:

1. Visualise Yourself As The Person You Want To Be

Each morning spend a few minutes visualising yourself as the person you want to be. Think about the way you dress, the way you carry yourself and the way you interact with other people. Seeing yourself as the person you want to become is the first step towards building self confidence.

2. Self Confidence Statement

After visualising yourself as the person you want to be, read the following statement out loud:

"I know I have the ability to achieve my major goal in life. Therefore today,
I demand of myself persistent and continuous action towards achieving my goal"

Reading this statement out loud is a great way to start your day in a confident state of mind.

3. Dress Well

One of the most effective ways to instantly improve your level of self confidence is to dress well and to make the decision to always be well groomed. This does not mean you have to go out and buy a whole new wardrobe. Instead, just focus on gradually building up a small collection of good quality clothes. Also remember that simple accessories such as a tie clip or necklace can make a big difference to the way you look and feel.

4. Positive Posture

Another powerful way to build your sense of self confidence is to stand up straight and lose the slouch that many of us have acquired over the years. While you may be able to make a change to your posture by simply becoming aware of it, the best way to make a long lasting change to your posture is to practice yoga or pilates.

5. Move With Purpose

A simple but effective tip for increasing your levels of self confidence is to always move with a sense of purpose. In his book 'The Magic of Thinking Big', David Schwartz recommends walking 25% faster than normal. Having a spring in your step lets people know that you have important things to do and actually makes you feel more confident as you go about your daily business.

6. Become A Participant

Have you ever noticed that in most meetings or groups, people immediately head towards the back of the room so that they can remain as inconspicuous as possible? A great way to increase your visibility and sense of self confidence is to make the decision to always sit towards the front of the room and be a participant. When you have something to say - don't be afraid to say it.

7. Connect With Confidence

Another way to quickly improve your self confidence is to practice making a strong first impression. When you meet someone face-to-face, look them directly in the eye, smile broadly, shake hands firmly and say, "Hi Jim, nice to meet you".

Similarly, you can sound more confident on the phone by answering, "Good morning Carol Jones speaking" instead of simply saying "Hello"

8. Build Your Success File

Occasionally your self confidence will take a hit when something doesn't work out the way you hoped. One of the best ways to repair your self confidence in this situation is to keep a folder outlining your past achievements and successes. You should also include any positive feedback that you've received from others.

As you review your success file and fill your mind with positive comments, your doubts and insecurities will quickly disappear and your self confidence will be restored.

9. Preparation

The BIG secret to being self confident that people rarely talk about is - preparation. The more you prepare and practice for an event, the more self confident you will become.

If you are worried about an upcoming event, use your apprehension as a stimulus to take action and practice, practice, practice. The simple but powerful truth is that self confidence grows through repetition and experience.

If you implement some or all of these 9 techniques you'll gradually develop a greater sense of self confidence which in turn will help you to pursue and achieve your most important life goals.

Until next time, Dare To Dream!

Sunit Jain
9920240334
INDIA(MUMBAI)
